Description.
Protecting fabric from stains on a whole new level, fabric shield is a revolutionary fabric protectant. By bonding chemically (as apposed to coating the fabric) the fabric's hand remains unchanged. It shields fabrics from water, wine, Kool-aid, oil, mud and more. Fabric shield can be applied by the consumer or in a mill. Durability is also not an issue. Our product maintains its repellency through laundry cycles, steam cleaning, and even dry cleaning.
- Industry leading water and oil based protection.
- 50% better Oil based protection than ScotchGard, 67% better water based protection than ScotchGard
- Product has been used for over 15 years in aviation, transportation, uniforms, and specialty furniture.
- Does not contain PFOA, PFOS, C8 or CFCs.
- Works on leather and delicate silks as well as on all fabrics.
- Does not change the breath-ability, color, look, or feel of the fabric nor will it water-spot silk or darken leather.
- save up to 50% drying time in commercial laundry
- Durable product protection--designed as a flexible film (push-up and push-down) versus Teflon that was designed originally as hard film (e.g. pots and pans).
- Abrasion resistance exceeding industry competitors (see test results)
- Imparts significant industry leading fade resistance.
- Substantially improves the ability to deodorize.
- Oil stains will not penetrate fibers.
- Product is non-toxic & hypo-allergenic. (see test results)
- Resists the effects of chlorine (e.g. swimsuit)
- By keeping fabrics dry, mold and mildew growth is reduced.
- By avoiding the absorption of pet urine, vomit particles and other “critical incidents” cleaning is easier which reduces the ability to leave behind bacteria or provide conditions for bacterial growth. Bacteria is also a leading cause of malodors.
- Helps keep a healthy environment by making cleaning easier thereby allowing a greater log reduction of potential pathogens via removal and ordinary cleaning.
Fabric Shield comes in three different chemical formulations: solvent based, water base air cure, and water base heat cure.
- Test for color fastness by applying to a small hidden area.
- Lightly wipe with a clean rag. If color appears on cloth, do not treat. If color does not appear move on to step 3.
- Spray and let dry, no need to ventilate or remove solvent smell (Coverage should evenly coat surface. DO NOT SATURATE.)
- Allow to dry or throw in dryer if fabric is shrink-free (Product takes up to eight hours to cure to maximum protection).
For cleaning:
Blot with a rag, do not rub.
If the stain remains and it is washing machine safe, wash it.
For fabrics with a broad weave (e.g. carpet) spritz with water and blot with a clean rag.
Suggested Reapplication is yearly on automobiles, biannually on furniture, after every 15th washing for clothing.
